We love the “ComfiHips” brand of hip protectors!  We switched to them several years ago from another brand that we had difficulty with the waist bands ripping.  “ComfiHips”  come in both male and female styles.  They look and are more like underwear and are not as bulky under the clothing and yet are effective.  They are big part of our fall prevention from injury program. They come in all the sizes you would need to meet the individual resident’s needs. Many of our residents wear “ComfiHips” while they sleep and that gives them more security when they have to get up in the middle of the night. They launder very well and our laundry staff have no trouble keeping them nice and white.  The company is very timely in sending us new ones whenever we need them. We do not seem to have to re-order them as often as our last brand as they do hold up well through wear and washings.  I would recommend them to other facilities for their fall injury prevention programs.
